Tabasco beachOne of the most popular festive places to hang out and have fun in all of Los Cabos, is Mango Deck. The world famous restaurant beach bar is home to buckets of beer, spring breakers from all over the U.S. and a menu that includes their delicious Nachos with carne asada, chicken or shrimps platter; which both can easily feed two. What started in the 1970’s, as the first —and only— Palapa on the beach, owned by a local gringo,  has become one of the most famous beach restaurants in the western hemisphere. With its small kitchen and unpretentious bartender, The Office has greatly expanded its delicious menu which at one time in the 70’s and 80’s consisted of ceviche’, fried fish, burritos and hamburgers. Now The Office, serves a wonderful array of fine dishes that has attracted the likes of George Clooney, Leonado DiCaprio, Matt Damon, Courtney Cox and Jennifer Aniston, among the millions of other Cabo visitors. With the possible exception of Mango Deck, The Office, is packed all-day, every day.

The platter included fish, lobster, shrimp and scallops. Other good tasting choices are their famous fruit plate, and breakfast burrito’s. Built in the 1980’s, La Bahia, was one of the first hotels at Medano Beach. The property on which Bahia was constructed had the been the home of fisherman Oscar Montaño Herrera. Known as Don Yoka, Mr. Herrera was a pioneer of Los Cabos’ fishing industry. When the land became available, developer Juan Esquivel saw an opportunity: built La Bahia.
